Alberto Medellín has been a member of Santos Elizondo since 2016 and his specialization covers areas of Amparo, Electoral, Civil and Commercial law.

He has worked in different judicial institutions at both local and federal level, where he collaborated and was in charge of projects for the resolution of trials and means of challenge related to civil, commercial, political-electoral (voting rights, local and federal elections, as well as internal matters of political parties), human rights and amparo. At Santos Elizondo, Alberto has participated in various civil and commercial litigation and amparo proceedings.

Alberto served as a Chamber Secretary at the Superior Court of Justice of the State of Nuevo Leon from 2008 to 2011. In the Electoral Tribunal of the Judiciary of the Federation (TEPJF) where he held various positions, among them, Secretary of Study and Account of the Monterrey Regional Chamber (2013 to 2015). From 2015 to 2016 he held the position of Secretary of the Judiciary of the Federation attached to Collegiate Courts of the Fourth Circuit.

In 2007, Alberto graduated with a law degree from the Law and Criminology School of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León and completed a master's degree in law with a focus on amparo trial at the same school. Then, he obtained a specialty in electoral justice from the Electoral Justice Training Center of the TEPJF in 2014 and finally in 2015 he completed a master's degree in human rights from the General Council of the Judiciary of Spain and the University of Jaén.
